Malmö Bastugille Malmö Bastugille (Guild of Sauna) is a non-profit-making association of sauna friends in Malmö. Our nest is at Ribersborgs Kallbadhus, a place for hot sauna bathing and skinny-dipping all around the year. The aim of Malmö Bastugille is to make it as nice and comfortable as possible for all sauna friends at Ribersborgs Saltsjöbad (Often called "Ribban" or "Kallis".) We have regulary talks with Malmö stad (City Hall of Malmö) who is the owner of this magnificant open-air swimming bath, built in 1898. We also arrange several activities during the year. Most popular is the Christmas Day Sanua Bath, when our members can take a lovely hot sauna bath and a skinny-dip in the ice-cold water of Öresund and afterwards enjoy a glas of "glögg" (Swedish hot wine, like the Austrian "Glühwein") and some ginger biscuits, while listening to some of our must popular christmas carols. Other activities during the year is sauna evenings with different themes, like the "kräftskiva" in August (traditional Swedish late summer party with crayfish and "snaps") and cultural events like lecture evenings, music evenings and so on.
Members of Malmö Bastugille 2008. The open air swiming stadium, Ribersborgs Kallbadhus offers a lovely skinny dip in Öresund and five different Saunas. Two Saunas in Gentlemens area and two saunas in Ladies area. Between them are one mixed sauna, FKK-Sauna, for both Ladies and Gentlemen. You have to pay a smal entrence fee for the Swiming area. Ribersborgs Kallbadhus is a public swiming stadium, so you dont need to be a member of Bastugillet if you would like to take a Sauna and a Skinny dip into Öresund. The restaurant is a public restaurant open for everybody all around the year, except for "special evenings" when the restaurant is booked for "stand-up-comedians evening" or "live music evening" (Often on mondays and tuesdays). The Sauna Building on the gentlemens side. There are two saunas on the gentlemens side and two saunas on the ladies side and one mixed sauna for both ladies and gentlemen on Ribersborgs open-air-swiming-stadion. You have to pay a smal fee to enter the swiming area and the saunas.
